Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Research Desk, an education-centered digital initiative launched by ScholarLab. 

We begin with a research-based mandate, a commitment to ciphering the flow of information that is most relevant to online learning, in every form and shape it takes. We believe that truly great technology is born from extensive research and great thought leaders. We have built our own technologies on these principles and their deeply interdependent relationship.  

ScholarLab itself is an intensely research-based company, not only in the technologies we design, but in ideologically “leading the charge” in the way that education is captured, delivered and shared. While engaging with clients across a bright spectrum of industries from mental health to the legal sector to healthcare to real estate, we have had the pleasure of working such organizations as the American Pharmacists Association, the National Association of Bar Executives, Mental Health America of California, and the International Titanium Association. Working with learners and educators across North America, we identified a gap: a true thirst for understanding faced with an inability to process the rapid and everyday changes of the digital revolution. 

For many, our lauded technological advancement is occurring too quickly to fully understand. And thus we saw a need for present, accessible voices to streamline and improve understanding—to cut through the noise, so to speak. The number of people trying to implement digital education is astounding. But many of them do not know where to begin. We want to empower this demographic while simultaneously spurring inspiration and conversation among innovators, like ourselves. 

What can you expect to see from the Research Desk? Targeted pieces that will help distinct sectors better understand how to sustainably implement online learning strategies for their specific needs. Dispatches on what we feel are the most exciting advances in online education. Thoughtful discourse. And most of all, enthusiasm, optimism and foresight in what has been one of the most remarkable changes in our lifetime.
